Deans Office

The goal of the staff in the Deans’ Office is to help students make responsible decisions regarding behavior, thereby affording them the opportunity to grow, mature, and achieve academic success. We are committed to fostering trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents, so that they may experience a sense of safety and belonging in our school community.  It is our belief that EVERY child is capable of growing, and of learning how to make decisions that will have a positive impact on our school climate.

Through the cooperative efforts of school personnel, students, parents and the community, students shall learn to behave responsibly, develop appropriate behavioral skills and to understand the effect of their actions on themselves and others.  We expect all individuals to demonstrate behaviors that reflect Safety, Organization, Achievement and Respect (SOAR).
The Deans’ Office telephone number is 720-886-7740.

Falcon Creek is a part of the Colorado School-wide Positive Behavior Support Initiative. Positive Behavior Support (PBS) focuses on maximizing academic success by teaching and reinforcing positive social behaviors in students and fostering a climate of safety and respect at Falcon Creek.

Falcon Creek continues to encourage all of our students to S.O.A.R., which is our PBS acronym that stresses the importance of safety, organization, achievement, and respect.

This year, in order to support Falcon Creek’s PBS goals and the Cherry Creek School District Safety Plan, we will be implementing a Safety in the School and an Anti-Bullying Curriculum for our students. We reinforce our goals of safety for our students during Red Ribbon Week in October and Random Acts of Kindness Week in February.

  FROM THE DEANS OFFICE . . .

ATTENTION PARENTS: AIRSOFT, PELLET, AND BB GUNS ARE NOT TOYS AT SCHOOL . . .
At this time we want to reiterate our message regarding state law and school district policy relative to airsoft, pellet, and BB guns.

We understand that these guns, which can be difficult to distinguish from real guns when being held by a person, have become very popular. We further understand that many view these guns to be toys. As such, some of our students are purchasing these guns, receiving them as gifts, and playing with them at home and in neighborhoods with parental
permission.

However, these guns are not allowed on school premises. Both Colorado state law and Cherry Creek School District policy require a mandatory expulsion for the possession on school property of “any pellet or BB gun or other device designed to propel projectiles by spring action or compressed air.”

Please be reminded and reinforce with your child that the school must recommend an expulsion if these guns are brought onto school premises.
In accordance with the CCSD Conduct and Discipline Code, students who use and/or sell prohibited substances, or substances which are “represented” to be prohibited substances, are subject to disciplinary sanctions which may include suspension/expulsion from school and possible referral to law enforcement for prosecution. Students who violate this policy will be disciplined accordingly.

Please be reminded that, as stated in the Falcon Creek Dress Code, students are not permitted to have non-natural or
Crayola-colored hair. All students are expected to dress in a manner that contributes to a positive, academically-focused learning atmosphere. Dress code guidelines are written in the Falcon Creek Student Agenda.
