A Message From Mrs. Ruiz

As the Principal of Falcon Creek Middle School, I am fully committed to collaborating with our School Community to ensure:

All students have access and opportunity to high-level, rigorous course work that prepares them for college readiness and post-secondary career success in the 21st Century;

All students and adults within our school experience a learning environment that is physically, emotionally, and psychologically safe and supportive;

All students will be provided a level playing field.  This means eliminating any barriers that prevent the raising of achievement for our lowest performers, while continuing to raise the achievement of all our students.

Falcon Creek Middle School has a rich tradition of academic rigor, caring community, artistic exploration and love of learning.  Our Mission Statement below reflects the on-going values that are critical to helping us achieve a positive and desired future for all our students.

Through the Falcon Creek Middle School Community, students will achieve academic excellence and demonstrate responsible citizenship in a safe, supportive, learning environment for young adolescents.  Within this framework, the following occurs:

  • Students learn, refine and expand basic skills, develop decision making, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Students work independently and inter-dependently to become life-long learners, critical thinkers, and contributing citizens
  • Students, teachers, and parents work together as a community to ensure a productive, safe, and secure educational experience
  • Teachers develop and implement learning experiences that prepare students for challenging roles in the 21st Century
In addition to instilling these values and behaviors, we must also equip our students with the habits of mind that are critical for being ready to meet the challenges of college and career.  The middle years present the largest span of growth for intellectual, physical, psychological, social, moral, and ethical development.  Mindful of this, the educational research has never been clearer or more evident.  Being on target for college and the workforce by the eighth grade, clearly aims students toward a positive future.  If students are not on target at this point, the impact may be irreversible.  Good work and study habits, consistently completing homework, orderly conduct, following school rules and guidelines, and forming positive relationships with faculty and staff are behaviors that will have a direct impact on either academic difficulty or academic success.

As we celebrate 15 years of excellence at Falcon Creek, I encourage and welcome your participation and support in your child’s education. Thank you for the honor of serving you and your child throughout the middle school experience.
